I just got an email from chrismarcus005, very simple, is your item still available.

I responded yes and got a response from chrismarcus13 and found the identical email on your site, which is as follows.

Hello,
Thanks for the prompt response and i will like you to withdraw the advert from Craigslist,i don't mind adding an extra $20dolls for you to take the advert down from craigslist so that i can be rest assured that am in hand of the item.I don't have time to come take a look. I will be paying via cashier's check, and it will be over night payment .You don't need to bother your self with the shipment Ok,i will take care of that.So i will need you to provide me with the following information to facilitate the mailing of the check.
1.Your full name
2.Your mailing address be it residential or postal address
3.Your phone number.
i will have my mover come over as soon as you have the check
Have a great day
I look forward to hearing from you!
Thank you again
Chris

I still can't figure out what they can do with my address name and phone number, should I be worried if they have my name?

i received this same email, word for word from chrismarcus9@gmail.com. then I received this follow-up email from chrismaruc13@gmail.com:
Hello,
This is to notify you that your payment has been issued out and you will have it tomorrow, but there was a slight error i guess we can handle with care which do occur, instead of the actual amount for the item,my secretary made out the check for $1600 she claim that was what i requested but she didn't get that straight.

So once you have the check please cash it at your bank and deduct the money for your goods plus $20 for taking down the advert.

The excess fund should please be sent to my mover via western union money transfer, this fund will be use in offsetting the cost of the shipment he as undertaken for me recently.

My movers information to send the excess funds will be provided as soon as you have the payment cashed.
Thanks for understanding

I BELIEVE I CAN TRUST YOU IN TAKING CARE OF THIS
I look forward to hearing from you!
Thank you again
Chris

I too was extremely stupid in entertaining that this too good to be true offer might be legit, and gave out my name address and phone number as you would to anyone who is coming over to buy something from you. After more research about this guy I am also worried

Same here - word for word. We wonder what info can be obtained with name, phone and address. Our general thoughts are the payment will be "cashable," then after sending the "movers" their fee, the funds will become unavailable, insufficient or somehow withdrawn, screwing the seller out of the money sent via Western Union. We e-mailed today saying we found information on the internet exposing his fraud and not to contact us again.

I just got an inquiry from Chrismarcus002@gmail.com. Just what looks like his standard prelim question of whether it is still available.

Never trust someone who is offering to pay by any kind of check either...

I just recieved the first two emails about whether my item was still available and about my quick response and wanting my information. What tipped me off was that my quick response was two days later so I googles his name. Glad I did. Anyway here is the address he sent me chrismarcus12@gmail.com. Hope this helps. Thanks.

so glad that I decided to google the name Chris Marcus and found your blog. It just, instinctively, didn't feel right.

This is the last email sent and my response to it.

He's still at it. Just got the same email response on a piece of furniture for sale on Craigslist.

I replied to him that I made contact with law enforcement.
