Mike Kimball, Services CPA provides accounting services to creditors of all types. This can consist of conducting delinquency interviews with past due customers of the creditors, urging the customers to call the creditor at the time of contact, visual inspection of collateral or photographs of collateral. We are not a collection agency, nor do we serve legal papers or repossess collateral. Think you have problems, try being Karen Edwards, Robert Adams, and Rev. James Russell because they are the same person! We followed up on many tips and found many similarities, including the same email address. I guess when its hard to keep track of so many fake emails. Whether its pure stupidity or down right laziness, the slip up is very evident. I also question the sanity of a guy who would also pose a woman to cheat people out of money.

The man behind these aliases is not a real man!

After numerous scam emails and fake checks, our good ole' friend Robert Adams has been reported to the FBI. A huge thank you to the Craigslist user that sent this new update.

It traces back to Nigeria. I filed an online complaint to the FBI, although I haven't even cashed his phoney check. I have seen this as a scam from the beginning, but I have done what I can to waste his time.

Hello. I found your BLOG on a search of Robert Adams and Craigslist. I am in the middle of negotiations with him, knowing pretty darn well it was a scam. He claims he is going to send me a check for my piece of furniture, but am waiting for the whole "I sent your $2500 by accident"

I have a problem talking on phone because I'm hearing impaired I look forward to hearing from you soon.RobSo I responded back with what pictures/angles do you want?Here is his response:I'll send you a check from my bank to cover the cost as I'm happy with your early response.anyway, I'll not be available for the pick-up of the item because of the nature of my job so i got the services of a mover whom will come for the pick up of the item on my behalf.so I'll like you to provide me with the following information so as to expedite the payment for the item.1.Your full name to be on the check2.Home or work address3.Your phone number4 The final priceAs soon as you have cashed the check I'll make arrangement with my mover to come over for the pick-up. Classic Scam foiled by CL Scam Buster

Tactic used: Accidentally took out $2500 in the form of a "bank money order" to pay for a $180 item.

Description:

This person wanted to send a $2500 bank money order to pay for a $180 item. First the buyer said he had a hearing impairment, which would not let him meet in person to see and purchase item. In subsequent emails, the buyer said he was moving out of town/state and wanted to send a personal check. Then buyer changed story and said he accidentally issued a $2500 bank cashiers check to pay for the item, by claiming he did not realize the posted item was selling only $180. Furthermore, Mr. Robert Adams claimed the check would clear and to simply western union him the difference.

This is a classic if not played out scam. You must ask yourself, who in their right mind would send someone they've never met a check for $2500 to pay for a $180 item, and then expect the seller whom they've never met to send them the remaining balance via western union. DON'T BE FOOLED BY MR. ROBERT ADAMS TACTICS! HE IS A SCAM ARTIST WHO HAS BEEN EXPOSED!!
