As of yesterday (9/15/09) there is a new address for Jeannie Raleigh (j.raleighx2@yahoo.com); I also received a similar scam email from an Elizabeth Larry (elizarry21@gmail.com).
I believe was I almost scammed by that Coleman couple -- or someone who is copying their MO.
This time it's a CANADIAN property that was for rent, and whoever was the ringleader did their homework because I'm from the same city the apartment was advertised as and the details were accurate. However, when "Mark" said that I had to pay a deposit for the keys (which are in Texas), I knew something was up. I Googled and found this Blog (thank GOD!!) so now I am passing the new scam info:
I can see your willingness in this rent. I shall be giving you the apartment for rent. You'll pay the half of the first month rent and damage deposit which is $850 and the other half when you have received the keys and other documents. The monthly rent for the whole apt is $1200 which includes utilites and a damage deposit of $500 which is refundable making a total of $1700, i required half which is $850.
The package contains Entrance and the rooms Keys, Paper/Permanent apartment form, The apartment documentary file, Payment Receipt.
The payment will be made via Money Gram and as soon as your payment is confirmed, I'll get back to you with the tracking number for you to know when the package will be delivered.

beware.....smith.kelly100@gmail.com......... tried scamming us on a car posted on craigslist...telling us he was going to send nearly 3000 dollars more than we asked for telling us to keep asking price and then send him the remaining balance....and grammer was very poor....
