I created this blog site to expose the scam artists, crooks, and their tactics that prey on honest hard working people on craigslist. I encourage you to share your stories and experiences with other people so that we may better serve the craigslist community, by making it a safer place.
She just responded to an ad for something I'm selling. It sounded suspicious so I googled her name. good thing. What a creep. Her new address as of May 9, 2009 is j.raleigh00q@googlemail.com
5/17 j.raleighq3@gmail.com and j.raleigh00q@googlemail.com
Will send from the gmail account asking if the item is still available then will reply using the googlemail account with the typical scam response.. I will send a cashiers check, you cash it then I will have my mover pick the item up.. after you send me your name, address, phone numbers.
Fan-fraking-tastic. I just got an email this person offering to buy something from me. Something felt a little wrong, then she told me her boss accidentally cut a check for $2000 more than the asking price. You can fill in the rest.
She's still working it, here's what I got from j.raleigh00q@googlemail.com:
"Hello,I really appreciate your response to my mail.I want you to consider the item sold, pls do withdraw the advert from craigslist to avoid disturbance and to be rest assured on my side that i have bought it.I want you to know that i will be paying via cashier's check .I will need you to provide me the following information to facilitate the mailing of the check...
1.Full name to write on the check 2.Full Physical address to post the check 3.Home & Cell Phone to contact you
**I will like you to know that you will not be responsible for shipping i will have my mover come over as soon as you have cashed the check**"
I too just got a hit from her... Would have totaled close to $600. Even responded back that I of course couldn't take a cashier's check in light of the scams surrounding these! Then I googled her name. lol. As of 6/12/09 she was using: Jeannie Raleigh j.raleigh25@googlemail.com
She's at it again. I received an email from her using j.raleigh018@gmail.com and it was the exact message another person mentioned:

This scamster's latest address is Jeannie Raleigh. j.raleigh001@googlemail.com
This person fedexed me a check for $3000 for a $200 item claiming it was a mistake and asking to Western Union the excess funds back. The check was in some company's name in Texas. That got my antennae out and I found this site. Watch out for this scammer!

She used the same address as of May 18, 2009.
Same here.
Also, watch out for Monica Cynthia.
She claims to be from L.A. but living in Manchester in the U.K.
They wanted to send a check to me and then have the item picked up from me directly, no shipping.
Bizarre...

excellent blog, great work!
These dummies can't even put a decent sentence together "Hello there.am interested in your posted item and will like to know if
still available."
She contacted me, on an item I had, using j.raleigh015@gmail.com

Hi folks, I urge you all to report this crime using http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx
In my case, I have a fake check from "Jeannie Raleigh". The form might be tedious, but worth it if we want this scamster to rot in jail.
She attempted her scheme with me today. She used the "consider item bought..and dont worry about shipping.."
They're just going down the line ... I got one from j.raleigh02@gmail.com ... Thanks to whoever started this list.
I want to say thank you to whoever put this up. the scammers address today is j.raleigh04@gmail.com.
& yah, gotta love google!!
