Yes, he tried to do this to me as well for $800 studio in Greenwich Village. Obviously too good to be true! He wanted me to send the money FIRST before seeing the apartment. RIGHT!
ReplyDeleteI also found a sketchy posting by "Reverend Daniel Foster" in the Boston area. I'm a single mom and this jerk was trying to steal $1600 of my hard earned money by posing as a member of the clergy! That is low. His strange English is the same: "It's indeed a lovely...apartment". Never give someone money for an apartment without seeing the apartment first and signing a contract!!!!

He is a scam artist then! He just posted again for an apt in the LES and sent me a very similar response. Only this time he is a missionary to London and will be gone for 3 years.

I also got a similar email from this "rev. Daniel Foster" the email was written exactly the same way. How I knew this was a scam.... no way a two bd, two bath apt in the village only cost $900 a month! I hate to sound prejudice but hello... this is a Nigerian address... ur always hearing about scammers from Nigeria. Sorry but that's the truth.
