TAG Leadership, T.A.G, Cydcor Scam - Los Angeles

We have another Scam company to report.

TAG Leadership
8999 Overland
Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.

Just wanted to give everyone a 'heads up' on TAG Leadership or 'T.A.G.', etc. Do yourself a favor and do a search for Cydcor-these guys are all the same. They're known to crank through applicants for the sole purpose of recruiting new sales people. Don't walk away people, run! They lead you to believe that you are luck that you made it to the 2nd round of interviews, and then you become part of their cult where you are a total slave, simply put. They ask you to wear "comfortable shoes" for the second interview. Why? Because you will be walking door to door trying to get companies to buy phone service, staples, or whatever it is they try to get you to peddle. Spread the word- TAG, Cydcor, and all of the affiliates participate in questionable to shady business practices. It is a scam so beware.

I actually just had an interview with T.A.G., but because I had a similar experience with California Marketing, I knew exactly what was going to happen next, the dreaded ALL DAY INTERVIEW, without pay!!! These companies really suck because they take advantage of new graduates and literally waste your time with the interview process! They also have no intentions of paying you a base salary, it's only commission people! I

Hey everyone, actually, I just got a call from TAG and I can't find their company website. And when I spoke to this lady on the phone I asked her, "The name of the company...it's called TAG American right?" And then she got all offended and said that her name was Samantha...and I was like....I was just asking to confirm the name of the company cause I wanted to know what company I'm interviewing for. Maybe she was trying to distract me or something and get my focus on something else. btw, they have an office in west la. and norwalk...so if you're in those areas or live around those areas, be cautious! thanks!

just to let you know up here in Canada, we have a company Katana Marketing Solutions that changed it;s name to KMS so it could advertise on Craiglist again as it was banned. under Craiglist it is prohibited to advertise if you are a multi-level marketeing firm, which Cydcor and all it's companies are- they just don't ask for money

Not a complete moron...

I question the accuracy of your post/identity. First of all, although no companies pay to interview, most companies also don't stretch out a second interview to basically an 8 hour training session amounting to a full work day. (Legit jobs pay for training.) Second, "feet" as used in your sentence is actually spelled "feat."

Watch out for any job opportunities for "New York Partners" or "Universal Online Promotions" - just Cydcor using an alias. F*ck these people, they should go to hell

I agree!!! Samantha just called me on Monday 8/3 and said her manager wrote really good notes on my resume and that I MUST come in either that day or the next, as they are stopping interviews the next day (Tues). I told them I am still employed and unable to make it. Then she asked if I could come in another day this week, I said I would call baack. When I called back I spoek with HELEN who said I could come in next week if I wanted. It was very confusing and sounded shady. When I couldn't find their website or a list of their clients but DID FIND THESE SCAM SITES I called back and said TY ANYWAY.

ALSO - THey said I MUST come in and cannot do a phone interview because they want to see how I present in person as their clients are Fortune 500. They didn't say Fortune 500 business owners or anything, just said "clients are Fortune 500" - YEAH RIGHT OKAY!

I just want to share my experience at a business in Canada called Katana Marketing or KMS Inc. this place is also part of Cydcor that advertises on Craigslist to bring people in. It is a door to door commission based job, which if you don't mind that it's fine, but there is NO OPPORTUNITY. it is a multi level marketing scheme, but instead of money it asks for all your time, oh and how you make money? By signing up yourself, your friends and family, after that if you make some money- like $100 a week- then your a superstar, because people don't buy stuff at their front door!
Go work for Timmie's it pays more (Tim Hortons Coffee Shop.

Katana Marketing, located in Ottawa, is another Cydcor outfit that preys on people by exploiting it's employees and lying to it's customers. This office acts like a cult, complete with clapping and chanting and the brainwashing of it's corporate mantra. The ever elusive 'opportunity' you are promised never materializes, but usually it's too late by the time you realize you've been suckered in. The amount of money you can make is pitiful in relation to the amount of hours you put in. You work 12 hours/day 6 days/week for about $300-400, if your good or lucky. To advance you need to build a 'team', which you initially finance, but this becomes impossible when you see that the average person only lasts for 2 weeks. This is door to door work paid strictly on commission, if you can't sell you don't make money. You have little to no support from management other than the stream of b.s you pass along. I tried this business for 3 months before I finally wised up. Stay away from this company, they will just use you.

I'm glad I ran into this site. I've been on the job hunt for a while so I'm used to these types of firms, My suspicions were confirmed it seems.

Don't waste your time unless your really really good with sales, but even if you were, you could probably make good money else where.

Just received a call from "Team T.A.G." and you can bet after looking at how much they are offering in pay while not requiring any experience, I decided to start researching and now that I've read these posts I will happily toss this out. I am so happy I didn't waste my morning on an interview with these guys. Thanks for taking the time to post. I was going to ask the guy if it was solely commission based over the phone but I read that it's never a good idea to discuss comp. right away so I didn't say anything. Doesn't matter anymore.

I'm supposed to have an interview with Team Tag tomorrow. SOOOO glad I read these comments! I'm definitely not going! This is the 3rd interview in a week for marketing jobs that I have gotten off of craigslist that I googled and all popped up as scams! VERY SAD!! The lady that called me from Team Tag's name was Tina. I also found it weird that when I didn't call back the 1st time, and called again to ask for me to interview. I legit company would not be soo needy for someone they never met to interview with them! I'm so irritated that so many companies are scams and keep trying to waste people's time!! UHHHH!!!
